Brand
Concept: This BCIT project focused on creating a unique digital magazine and printed advertising campaign for a jewelry brand. It proposed a fictional local store selling handcrafted jewelry through various formats and platforms. The goal was to showcase the versatility and beauty of the pieces while exploring innovative design approaches.
Why: The pieces are unique, designed for all occasions, and crafted to make women feel beautiful, confident, and happy through special handmade jewelry using diverse materials.
The Goal: To develop a cohesive brand identity that reflects elegance and sophistication while providing a seamless experience across digital and print formats. The project aimed to highlight the essence of handmade jewelry and the connection it fosters with customers.
Process: The project began with crafting the brand identity, including the logo and visual guidelines. Extensive research informed the aesthetic and strategic direction. Layouts were designed for digital magazines across desktop, tablet, and mobile formats to ensure a user-friendly and engaging experience. Additionally, printed materials, including magazine cover and split pages, were developed. Supporting merchandise, such as a branded shirt, was created alongside handouts in the form of postal cards. Social media ads for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter were designed to enhance the brand’s digital presence.

About the Logo: Dr Design Jewelry
Concept: Dr Design Jewelry is a brand that celebrates handmade jewelry created by the designer Daniela Regina (DR Design). The logo reflects the brand’s message of empowering women to wear unique, handcrafted pieces that suit all occasions and styles. ♡
Why: The logo was inspired by the idea of inclusivity and versatility. Through the use of diverse colors and arrangements, it conveys the message that every woman can find a piece that resonates with her individuality.
The Goal: To create a design that helps women feel confident and radiant, offering them a unique piece of jewelry that complements their personal style.
Process: The colors were carefully chosen to evoke a sense of fun, adventure, and diversity, balanced with a clean and modern aesthetic. The vibrant palette brings energy and contrast, aligning with the brand’s lively spirit. A simple font type was selected to maintain clarity, while a handwritten element was incorporated to emphasize the personal and handmade touch.

The magazine highlights the local business, the versatility of jewelry across different seasons, and the brand’s four key messages: All Seasons, Reconnect, Exclusivity, and Collection. ♡
The Goal: To create a visually appealing and informative magazine layout that introduces readers to DR Design Jewelry, emphasizing its unique offerings and connection to the local community.
Process: The design process began with thorough research into themes that align with the brand’s identity. The magazine layout was created using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, simulating real content for an authentic magazine feel. Attention was given to cohesive typography, imagery, and design elements to reflect the brand’s message and aesthetics.
